BSP Engineer for MNC Semiconductor based at Hyderabad

Position Summary –
Working as part of BSP software development team based in Hyderabad, the BSP engineer will play a key role in the development of Boot Loaders, Linux Kernel, Power Management, Platform Device Drivers, Tool-chains and Build Systems ¬¬¬¬¬¬for ¬ ARM (multi core) based Set-Top-Box platforms.


Job Responsibility
•Design and implementation of various Linux kernel device drivers such as:
oFlash Technologies – NOR, NAND, SPI
oStorage Protocol – USB, SATA, SD, MMC
oBus Protocols – PCI, I2C, SPI
oNetworking – Gigabit Ethernet, MoCA
oHID – IR, RF4CE
•Evaluation and porting of new releases of Linux kernel.
•Design and implementation of multi-stage, low-footprint boot loaders for multi-core ARM platforms. Support development of uboot drivers and features.
•GNU cross tool-chains, build systems and scripting languages.
•Silicon validation and troubleshooting of schematics.
•Troubleshooting issues using JTAG debuggers, Oscilloscopes and Protocol Analyzers.

Position Requirement & Qualification-

Education: M.E./M.Tech./B.E./B.Tech./M.C.A


Experience: Must have 4 to 8 years of experience in Linux based embedded system development.



Knowledge, Skills & Ability –

•Personal drive for technical excellence and liking for board level/low level embedded system solutions development and triaging.
•Thorough understanding of ARM Cortex A9 and Cortex M3 architecture.
•In depth working knowledge of Linux Kernel Internals.
•Strong C programming skills, Extensive debugging skills in Linux based embedded systems using JTAG/GDB debuggers.
•Strong verbal and communication skills including technical interactions with remote teams (e.g. US, Europe, China).
•Team player working in large software development environments distributed across multiple sites.
•Ready for on-site travel as necessary.
